Number 4 Designs is an Interior Design Firm located in Northwestern Illinois that was in need of a logo design that spoke to her field and her business approach. In many practices, the number 4 is symbolic to ideas of stability, solidarity, calm and a sense of ‘home’. The client wanted her clients to get a sense of calm, but also look a little deeper. For example: There are 4 walls in a home, there are 4 seasons in a year, 4 elements and four directions. Her concept informed the design and the end result embodies all of those elements into one, albeit simple, logo and brand identity.
The firm uses the 4 without the accompaniment of ‘number’ and ‘designs’ maintaining the power of the number even without the words surrounding it.
